Good morning Mark, don't you find that Witch Hazel Theyers leaves the skin of the face a little sticky? I think it is due to the presence of Aloe Vera. I also use a pure Witch Hazel extract without alcohol but from a different brand ( named TFS) which is very effective and also dry on the skin. Warm greetings from Rome Marco Batelli

It is fortunate how metallurgy and razor engineering has advanced. The Lather & Wood Baron series razors are an example of great design that just cost very little to produce. You can spend $500 on many different styles of safety razor that shave less effectively. My Baron Elite didn't have this type of coating issue you show in the video. Looks like they have tuned their production methods. It is worth taking a moment to be grateful for how we inherit so much engineering refinement where shavers standing at their mirror years ago often had a lot of chatter happen due to imprecise blade security. I like the L&W Baron for its simplicity, dependability and modernist elegance. Boom lather indeed, bout as good as it gets.

Quite the unique style... like the Telsa Cybertruck. If it is as smooth and efficient as you are proclaiming, Titaner will sell a lot of these at the right price point. I just saw Subi Shaves use it for a head shave and around his beard. He also has proclaimed its wonderfulness.

How well does it work when you snap a blade and have the ends that stick out. Will the head be flat enough to straighten out those ends when assembling the razor?

Good morning Mark, this time I saw you particularly enthusiastic about this razor much more than others tried by you recently. Thanks as usual for the usual fun company. This morning we shaved simultaneously, while I was watching your video I was also shaving using a Gillette Fusion Proglide and an Italian shaving clay brush less named Nshi Argan Shaving Clay with the respective Post Shaving Balm. Believe me Mark in addition to the wonderful scent I found truly fantastic performance and the Balm leaves the skin like silk without remaining sticky at all. Have a nice day. Enjoying your wet shaving videos. Could you do a video on UNSCENTED shaving products? I am extremely allergic to most scents so currently use unscented foam/aerosol soap in a can but would like to move to shaving soaps/creams and brushes. I do NOT have sensitive skin and use straight, unscented witch hazel for post-shave. Thank you and keep up the great videos.

Mark, I own the Oliblade. It was part of a giveaway test program by Oliworks. The razor is excellent. The setting range is from .5 to 6. At settings below 3 there is nearly no blade feel. At the higher levels, there is blade feel but the shave is smooth and comfortable. The handle is not as wide as the Ambassador but fits easily in the hand. Oliworks has a 30 day money back no cost guarantee. This is certainly a razor worth trying for a price that is 1/2 that of the Ambassador. To be fair, the finish on the Oliblade is not as good as the Ambassador, but I don't shave with the finish. It is a great American made, stainless steel adjustable at an excellent price.

G'day Mark. Melbourne. Great MMMB. As usual. Tuesday morning July 30 here. You're absolutely right about the Thayers. Been using it for nearly 2 years now post alum block routine. I find it helps just that little bit more before I go to the splash then balm/jelly. I still regard the alum routine as necessary with the Thayers NOT replacing it, & of course, applying the Thayers after the alum is eventually rinsed off. As for helping my anti aging. Nup. You're right about the Futur being more aggressive - no matter how careful I was, I got razor burn. I've been using the QShave ever since with excellent results..When I say,"aggressive," regarding the Futur, I mean "rough." I returned it to Amazon. I was surprised. Before that, I was shaving with a Henson.

Regarding that RealShave razor, have you tried placing the head in hot water to see if that would loosen the cassette? Also, that Oliworks adjustable sure looks like a Rex Ambassador clone. When it comes to how much shaving soap or cream to use, it's fun to see how little product to use. But why? We all have enough soap to last a lifetime.

TOBS Eton College is a great shaving cream. Goes with almost any aftershave. A buddy gave me a tub as a gift and I absolutely love it.

I have an Oliworks razor and have found it to be great. Tolerances of the pieces is top notch and it provides me a very good shave. It was recommended to me and I would recommend folks give it a shot.
